What it costs to get us out
Our standard labour rates, published so you know before you call. Prices are shown including GST, because that is what a household actually pays.

Call-out and hourly rates
The call-out fee includes the first hour on site. Materials are charged separately.

Rates on this page are labour only and cover the Northern Rivers service area below. Anything needing materials, fittings or parts is quoted with those included.
How charging works
No surprises on the bill
The call-out fee includes the first hour
It is not a fee on top of the first hour of work. The electrician arrives, and the first hour on site is already covered by it.
Minor faults inside the first hour cost nothing extra
If we find and fix the problem within that first hour, there is no additional labour charge beyond the call-out fee.
After that, time is billed hourly
Work past the first hour is billed at the hourly rate, in hourly increments.
An apprentice on the crew is added, not swapped in
The call-out fee covers the tradesman's first hour. If an apprentice attends as part of the crew, their time is added at the apprentice hourly rate from the moment they arrive. Apprentices carry no call-out fee of their own.
The work is warranted for 24 months
Workmanship is warranted against defects for 24 months from completion, and it transfers if you sell the place inside that time. Materials are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Materials are separate
The rates on this page are labour. Any materials, fittings or parts are charged on top and included in your quote or invoice.

Further out
Travel time past the first 45 minutes is billed at the standard hourly rate, charged one way, as the actual time it took. We work it out and confirm it with you when you book, so it is never sprung on the invoice.

Using the rates above and nothing else.
A two-person crew for the first hour
The call-out fee covers the tradesman's first hour. An apprentice on the crew is added on top, from when they arrive.

An apprentice never carries a call-out fee of their own. Longer than an hour and both are billed at their hourly rates from there.
A job 90 minutes from Mullumbimby
The first 45 minutes of travel is free on every job. Past that, travel is billed as actual time at the standard hourly rate, one way.

45 minutes at the standard hourly rate, charged one way, on top of the call-out fee and the work itself. Travel is billed as the time it actually took, so three quarters of an hour is charged as three quarters of an hour.
Both figures are labour only and include GST. Materials, fittings and parts are charged on top and included in your quote.
Prices subject to change
The rates on this page are effective from 30 July 2026 and may change. Non-standard work, variations found on site and additional materials can all affect the final price, and we will tell you if that happens rather than putting it on the invoice afterwards.
