2. What is personal information?
Personal information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether or not it is true and whether or not it is recorded in a material form.
Sensitive information is a special category of personal information, such as health information or information about a person's beliefs or background. We do not seek to collect sensitive information, and would only collect it where required by law or with your clear consent.
3. How we collect personal information
We collect personal information by lawful and fair means and only where it is reasonably necessary to run our business and do your job properly. We collect information in the following ways:
- Directly from you, when you fill in a form on our website, call, text or email us, or speak with us in person or on site.
- In the course of doing your job, for example your site address, access details and photos of the work area and the finished work.
- From people acting for you, such as a builder, real estate agent, strata manager or family member who books work on your behalf.
- Through cookies and analytics tools when you use our website (see section 7).
Where it is reasonable and practicable we collect personal information directly from you. If we receive your details from a third party, such as a builder who has engaged us for your property, we take reasonable steps to make sure you know we have them.
